Creative Writing

Third Grade has been working diligently on their writing. We have been using time connectors, transitions and finally verb tenses. Take a look at a few of our assignments in regards to a cookie.

Ben Pearson

Yesterday, I got to eat a cookie. The cookie was a ginger snap cookie. the ginger snap cookie tasted like a ginger bread man. I saw sugar on the cookie, and it looked like a volcano. The brown color reminded me of my dog, Zoe. Then I saw the dents and it looked like a hockey puck. It smelled so good that I fell on the floor. The sugar dissolved in my mouth. Then I wrote about the cookie.

Today I ate, smelled and looked at a cookie it smelled sweet. Its shape was that of a circle. the cookie was dirt brown in color, it had sugar all over, was bumpy and had cracks. It smelled like cinnamon. The treat remind me of a ginger bread man. next was the taste. The snack tasted sugary like candy. Lastly the flavor tasted like one of the breads that my mom makes. That's how the cookie tasted!!!

Yesterday, I examined a ginger snap cookie. I used my senses, sight, smell, and taste.
The ginger snap looked brown as soil. It also had sugar crystals as small as a pebble. I saw little creek like dents in the cookie( without water, of course ). The cookie looked almost perfectly round.
The ginger snap's fragrance was like a whiff of honey. Also it smelled like a sugar cookie.
The cookie was the best cookie i have ever sampled! The ginger snap tasted like a slice of pumpkin pie. When I bit into the cookie, it tasted like my mom's homemade sugar cookies which dissolves in your mouth.
I really enjoyed the ginger snap cookie because it was the best cookie I have ever tasted!
