Charlotte's Web - Creative Creations

Third grade had a wonderful time creating some masterpieces that high light some key elements in the novel Charlotte's Web by E.B. White. Each student drew a mural of Uncle Zuckerman's Farm and then they had an opportunity to create Charlotte in her living environment.

Fun With Snow

Third Grade was thankful for the winter wonderland during recess.
I'm happy that they finally get to have 'fun in the sun and snow'.

Bundled from head to toe.
Packing the snow tightly.
Forming shapes for an igloo.
I'm stuck!
This is the life.

Snow Cap Wafer Writing Assignment

Essay # 1

Yesterday, we had a wafer with colorful sprinkles. They were like little poka dots. Then I saw chocolate under the sprinkles. It was on the bottom, too. Also in the middle there was a hole. The wafer's hole was an oval shape.

Next I smelled the wafer. Cocoa was in the wafer. After that I smelled a little bit of cinnamon. The wafer smelled very sweet. Also, the scent was beautiful like roses.

When I touched the wafer it was bumpy. On the bottom it was the total opposite. The bottom was curvy but smooth at the same time.

Lastly, the wafer tasted great. The wafer was delicious because of the cocoa fudge.

Essay # 2

Last Thursday I ate a Snow Cap Wafer. The sweet was good because the Snow Cap Wafer was pure chocolate and it had so many flavors.

The treat looked like a waffle make out of chocolate. There were sprinkles on top. The Snow Cap Wafer looked like a disco ball. The kind of sprinkles were rainbows. The snack reminded me of seeing a rainbow for the first time. The sweet was shaped like a donut.

I liked the chocolate aroma. The Snow Cap Wafer was very sugary. The sprinkles smelled like a cake. I loved the sweet fragrance of cake.

On the top it felt a little bumpy. On the bottom it was kind of smooth. The bottom reminded me of playing checkers because it felt like it.

The sweet tasted like dark chocolate. The Snow Cap Wafer was freshly made. The sprinkles had a cake taste to it. Some of the sprinkles tasted like candy nerds. I love to devour the Snow Cap Wafer because I have never had them before.

I love Snow Cap Wafers because they are sweet.

Show and Tell

Third Grade has begun 'Show and Tell' on Thursdays and Fridays. This gives the students an opportunity to public speak and share something that means a lot to them. It also gives the audience another outlet to ask questions that are being answered by a peer.
Jemeah brought her baby sister for Show and Tell.

Solar System Edible Project

Third Grade enjoyed an edible treat that became the solar system. Students frosted sugar cookies ... the universe canvas. Then they positioned their planets in orbit around the sun. The planets and sun were a mixture of different candies and confections.
