Students are given letters at the beginning of our game. Each student has 3 to 4 letters. The teacher calls out the spelling word and then there is a mad dash to the front of the room with letters in hand. The students organize themselves in reference to the letters they possess. Then the correct spelling of the word is displayed. There is a lot of noise, laughter and silliness.
