Rochester Public Market

Welcome the our field trip to the market. Did you know that about 1,300 horses use to haul fruits and vegetables to the market every week? Did you know that the market at one point was over the water on the docks? This amazing information came from our tour guide, Cindy. She was wonderful with our children and gave them lots of useful information.

The students viewed an edible vertical garden. So if you have a small space, you can still have a green thumb. They also saw a fountain that had three different levels. One for horses, one for dogs and one for humans.
